I can't believe March is over! It was a busy month for the Keller family, and it flew by very fast.
Early in the month we went to our friend Sam's 2nd Birthday party. His Mommy, Sarah, set up cupcake decorating for the kids, which Jack & Maggie thought was completely awesome.
After the cupcakes the kids ran around for a little while, but then during the pinata they started fading fast. They were fast asleep before we even got out of the neighborhood!
That night Daddy left for his week long working training session in Boston.
Bye-Bye Daddy!
It was weird not having Daddy home with us, especially the first night. Fortunately the kids were fine with him being gone, they understood he went to Boston, and that he would be home soon. Papa & Gee had them stay overnight Wednesday so I could get a good night sleep and prepare for the all the kids I watch on Thursdays (6 kids!). Jack woke up Thursday morning terribly sick. Papa took him to the doctor for me, and not only did he have another ear infection, but his first case of strep. Maggie came home later that day, but because Jack was contagious he stayed solo with Papa & Gee. I hear he was on cloud nine with all the undivided attention. Maggie certainly enjoyed having Mommy all to herself. We had a fun girl's night with a trip to the library, a Happy Meal for dinner, a Dora movie and painted our nails. By the time Thursday ended and Friday came, I was unfortunately sick! Then when poor Daddy came home he was sick by Sunday!
I think we are all on the mend from whatever nasty cold has been going around. The kids and I have a lingering cough that just won't go away, but I think allergies are playing a role as well. Speaking of allergies, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous!!
In the middle of March was St. Patty's Day. We didn't do much special, but the kids did make these painted rainbows and dressed up in their finest green for Friday & Saturday!
Jack didn't want to pose for the classic glider photo
Until I gave him a guitar
And Maggie joined in with her piano
The rest of the month was spent enjoying playing outside and being happy Spring has arrived!
