Compassion

Last night Maggie was sitting on the toilet lid waiting to brush her teeth.  She leaned back too far and ended up falling backwards, crashing to the floor and hitting her head on the tub on the way down. :(  Of course she was upset, screaming/crying, etc.  While I held her and checked her out, Jack was the sweetest, most compassionate brother.  He asked "you OK Maggie?", he gave her hugs, he rubbed her back and when she was up and feeling better he said "you OK Maggie, come on, let's play".  It was such a special moment in my heart.  He truly cared that she was hurt and expressed concern about her being OK.  So sweet!

Our last day

Early tomorrow morning we leave Hilton Head Island and head back home.  We had a wonderful week on vacation with Papa & Gee!  We spent our last full day on the island soaking up all the fun we could get into...

Lounged by the pool

Built more sand castles to stomp on

Splashed in the ocean waves

Tried fried green tomatoes, yuck!

Found more beautiful butterflies

Locked ourselves out of the condo

Rain day

Thursday was a rain day.  During a break in the rain, we strolled along the beach collecting more shells. 

Then it began to rain some more so we ran back to the beach house, dried off and headed to an indoor bounce playground.  We went to Island Playground just off the main part of Hilton Head.  Maggie was in heaven.  She went into all the bouncy houses and down all the slides.  Jack wanted nothing other than to play with the train table and building blocks.  He enjoyed the kitchen for a couple of minutes until he was mean to a couple of young ones and had to have a timeout with Mommy.  All in all it was a good time spent during a yucky rain morning/afternoon.

After nap time Maggie joined Gee & Mommy at the grocery store to get dinner while Jack & Papa went for a bike ride looking for Crocky the alligator.  When we returned Maggie joined Daddy & Jack on the beach collecting more shells.
