Suburbia

Hello fall

Leaves!

Daddy's new tractor

A great visit

We loved our time with Papa Ron & Grandma Shannon!
We can't wait to see them again soon!

Haircuts for everyone!!

Grandma Shannon can cut hair, so we figured we would take advantage of skills while in town and give the kids (and Mommy) a trim.  Papa Ron got a trim too, Daddy didn't need one.  Jack does NOT like getting his hair cut, so we started with Maggie.  She only got her dead ends trimmed and everything evened out, you can barely tell with her curls.

Initially Jack was going to get his normal short buzz, it ended up A LOT shorter than planned, but will last longer and he looks just like his Papa Ron now.  Poor Jack fought with every snip, buzz, twist and turn.  He was a slobbery, snotty, tear filled mess when it was all over, but good ol' Jack never holds a grudge and is happy as a clam with his new look.

M&M in each hand, doing OK for now

Not so happy

All better!

Zoo Visit

Tuesday we went to the zoo, although HallZOOween is only during the weekends, we enjoyed the zoo without all the crowds!

One ugly camel

My monkeys watching monkey island

Cuddling gators

We never knew a bearcat is so...ugly!

Lunch time!

Of course, when you leave the zoo you HAVE to ride the escalator up and down!

Daddy's 32nd Birthday!

We celebrated Daddy's Birthday with Papa Ron, Grandma Shannon, Papa Jeff & Gee the Monday before Brian's actual Birthday.  We made a nice pot of Keller chili, had yummy cupcakes with ice cream and then played outside in the beautiful, warm Indian Summer weather.

Mmmm, cupcakes!

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Daddy!"

King's Island Fall 2012

Papa Ron & Grandma Shannon came into town from California for 5 days this past week and we all had a wonderful time!  The kids have been counting down the days on the calendar since the 1st of October.  They were even more thrilled when they learned that Papa & Grandma were staying over night in the house, they helped put their room together and talked about the visit for weeks.  Sunday (after their long, long, long travel to Ohio) Papa & Grandma finally made it to our house and we immediately started the fun at King's Island!  Probably the best part of this trip to King's Island (aside from getting to enjoy it with the family) was that the kids finally reached 36" and got to ride the "big kid" roller coaster and other big kid rides!  All summer we were bummed, but eating our meat and vegetables paid off and they got "big and tall" enough to ride the rides!

The roller coaster!

Weeeeee!

The swings!

The log ride!  "Snoopy peed on us!"

The kite eating tree!

An advantage of going to King's Island with Papa Ron...he rides roller coasters.  So Grandma stayed with Daddy and the kiddos while Papa & I rode some of the bigger kid rides.  Which was a blast!!

At the end of the day we visited the Halloween themed area, although we got there a little too late and a lot was closing down, we still had a lot of fun.

We chatted with a pumpkin
